About

Well, welcome to the about section. You are probably here to find out a little more about yours truly. Well, just have a seat (considering you're at a computer, you probably are already sitting, in which case, ignore what I just said) and I'll tell you all about myself because, you know, I'm my favorite subject to talk about.

About the Artist

My name is Steven Walker and I actually live in two locations, Kissimmee and Sarasota, Fl. I was born and raised and Kissimmee and I still consider it my true home, however I go to school in Sarasota. I am currently attending Ringling School of Art and Design and am enrolled in their Computer Animation program. It's a tough and rigorous program which leaves me with little time to do much else, but with the little time I do have, I enjoy playing video games, working on this website, and believe it or not, I like to study animation history for fun. I am also a collector of Warner Bros. Animation items.

Most of my favorite video games include those games made by Rareware and Jellyvision. My all time favorite game is Rareware's Banjo-Kazooie, followed by Jellyvision's You Don't Know Jack in a close second. My interest in web design was actually sparked by my You Don't Know Jack obsession. See, the first website I ever built was all about You Don't Know Jack. The site no longer exists (although we're trying our darndest to resurrect it), but it was extremely popular at its peak. I am still involved in the You Don't Know Jack community, as I am the administrator of the official You Don't Know Jack Message Boards.

Since this site is all about animation, let me tell you about the directors and characters who have inspired me. First of all, the single most important character in history to have inspired me is Daffy Duck. If not for him, I probably would never have even considered being an animator. He is, in my opinion, the ultimate animated character. His personality is so incredibly well developed. Not only that, but he's been in so many of the animation industry's groundbreaking films. Now, people who have inspired me include Chuck Jones, Isadore "Friz" Freling, Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, and Robert McKimson. Each one of them have their own distinctive style and take on animation. I enjoy all of their cartoons equally.

When I graduate from Ringling, I am hoping that I will be able to get a job at Warner Bros. Animation. I have idolized that company ever since I was a small child and I have wanted to work there since I was in 5th grade.

If you want to be kept up to date with my daily life, I suggest go reading my online journal.
