About

Born in 1983, I grew up in Kissimmee, FL. When I was younger, I always had a fascination with the movies; I wanted to be an actor. As I grew up, I became a bit shy and so my focuses switched from acting to animation, which still has all the elements of acting. I was mainly interested in animation by watching Warner Brothers' classic Looney Tunes series. I always had a better connection with Warner over Disney (despite growing up so close to Disney World). I think they appealed to me because of their comedic wit and timing.

When it came time for me to choose a college, I really wanted to do traditional animation. Unfortunately, at that time I saw traditional animation slowly dying off and so, I decided on going to Ringling School of Art & Design to study the new computer animation medium that was growing rapidly at that time.

When I graduated from Ringling, I returned to my job at Disney, which I had kept since high school. I had moved around to various different parks over the course of the nearly 7 years I worked there. Most notably, I was an artist who taught drawing classes in the parks to guests. I started this at DisneyQuest and eventually moved to the Disney-MGM Studios. At the Studios, I became the trainer for incoming artists. As their trainer, I worked closely with the Disney Design Group to learn to draw the Disney characters as accurately and on-model as possible, so that I could teach the other artists to do the same. Other attractions that I have had the pleasure of working at while at Disney include Who Wants to Be A Millionaire - Play It! at the Disney-MGM Studios and The Wonders of Life at EPCOT.

I left Disney in November of 2006 to pursue my dream of becoming an animator at American Animation Studios, located in Prosser, Washington. Since it is a small studio, I was able to work in many parts of the production pipeline, including animation, rigging, modeling, and concept design. After 10 months and completing two films, I moved to Los Angeles to submit resumes and portfolios. I stayed in Los Angeles for 6 months before deciding to return to Orlando to revise my portfolio and continue in my studies in art, technology, and animation.

I am now back at Disney, working at the Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) as an artist again. I would love to return to the west coast one day in the future - particularly the northwest; Seattle, Portland, or Vancouver.
