Steven Walker began his artistic career as a character artist at The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. At Disney, Steven taught drawing classes at the Animation Academy attraction loacated at both DisneyQuest and Disney's Hollywood Studios. He eventually became a trainer for new artists and cast members in the parks. As trainer, Steven conducted several training workshops and seminars and was also responsible for maintaining the quality of character art and cast performance throughout the attraction.
For college, Steven attended Ringling College of Art & Design, where he majored in Computer Animation. At Ringling, he was able to experience the entire animation pipeline, and eventually create his own animated short film, "Puffin Stuff", from the concept development stage and eventually into a finished animated short.
Upon graduating from Ringling, Steven was offered a position as an animator at American Animation Studios in Prosser, Washington. Since it was a small studio, Steven was able to experience working in a variety of areas including animation, rigging, and character modeling. In his time at American Animation Studios, Steven worked with a team to complete two animated films, "Patrick Henry: Quest for Freedom" and "Paul Revere: Midnight Ride", as well as two other unreleased titles.
American Animation Studios closed in the fall of 2007. Upon leaving American Animation Studios, Steven continued working on his animation portfolio and eventually returned to Florida and his previous position as a character artist and trainer at Disney.
